just after listening to your podcast with Warren Brennan I was watching the first day of 2nd test SL v WI and Josh Da Silva tried to sweep a ball from D de Silva. The ball bowled from wide of the crease pitched on off and hit Da Silva in front of middle and leg. The leg stump was showing on impact and the umpire gave it out but the ball tracking predicted the ball would miss. Everyone in SL team was throwing up their hands and Sir Curtly on comms was doing so verbally but the trajectory after impact seemed perfectly reasonable to me. Why so players/coaches/commentators react like this? it seems so counter productive.
